Your phone is often your bank, email, photo library, password reset device and two-factor authentication tool. If it is lost, hacked or repaired without preparation, it can become a security risk.

  • Use a strong passcode, not 1234 or date of birth.
  • Turn on two-factor authentication for important accounts.
  • Keep iOS/Android updated.
  • Review linked devices in WhatsApp, Google and Apple accounts.
  • Remove unknown apps, profiles or calendar subscriptions.
  • Avoid public Wi-Fi for banking and sensitive logins.
  • Never share verification codes.
